poultry rub

For poultry its all about the baked-in dry rub. This serves as the perfect base for BBQ chicken drumsticks or wings, it would even be delish on roasted chicken or chicken breasts. This rub can be made in advance and stored in an airtight container for a quick weeknight meal or impromptu dinner guests.

Serves: 24 chicken drumsticks


Plastic air-tight container

measuring tools


1/3 cup paprika

1 TBSP onion powder

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp parsley

1 tsp seasoning salt

sea salt to taste

cracked black pepper to taste

For the rub:

Mix all the spices together in an airtight container making sure everything is evenly combined. Store for later use.

If using right away mix up the spices and thoroughly coat chicken drumsticks or wings that have been adequately washed and patted dry.
